EU extends SDS conversion deadline

The REACH committee has agreed to allow the current SDS format to be acceptable use for SDS delivered prior to 1 June 2015. The committee has provided the grace period to help reduce expected confusion in the upcoming year. The majority of the confusion revolves around two conflicting ammendmants. One ammendment introduced through REACH, the other CLP. The grace period will allow time for the conflicting ammendments to be resolved. All chemical manufactures must provide GHS compliant (Rev. 5) SDS after May 31st 2017.
